This Saturday, September 18, the boys will be participating in a bottle drive from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. with a barbecue to follow at the school. Details you need to know:
We will be using Bangor Redemption Center on Broadway
Boys should go in groups and collect bottles in their neighborhoods and do periodic drop-offs at the redemption center - Coach will discuss this more with the team tomorrow and at Thursday night's dinner to make sure everyone is in a group.
The boys should wear something identifying them as a John Bapst football player (i.e. their football jersey or their purple football t-shirt)
Saturday, September 4th, the Crusaders will be taking on the Mt. View Mustangs. The game will be at 1:00 p.m. in Knox. Below are directions to the field:
Head south on I-95 towards Augusta Take exit 174, toward Winterport/Newburgh (ME-69) Turn left onto ME-69/Hampden Road. Continue to follow ME-69 (1.8 miles) Turn right onto Western Avenue/US-202/ME-9. Continue to follow US-202/ME-9 (20.3 miles) Turn left onto Thorndike Road/ME-220. Continue to follow ME-220 (7.4 miles) Turn left onto Belfast Road/ME-137 (1.5 miles) Turn left onto Abbott Road
The field does not have a lot of bleacher seats, so you may want to bring a chair.
All players should wear a white shirt, purple tie and khaki pants to school on Friday. Freshman players will be given their tie by Thursday of this week. Crusader Pride Night is this Friday, September 3rd, at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. We are expecting over 100 people to be in attendance, so we are asking parents/families to provide an entree or salad. All food should be delivered to the auditorium by 5:30 p.m. Thank you for your help.
